Second Semester

After a brutal three and a half month semester, a month of exams and two weeks of break to end with the ending of the festival, it's already time to go back to school to meet the second half of the brutality.

It has been one tough semester and the scores of the exams are still not out. You can see the suspense in the 12th grade (final year) students' faces. There is this desire to go to school and over come the anxiety but in the other hand, that feeling that they didn't do well and don't want to meet their unpleasant fate.

There has been a text message going around lately amongst 12th graders telling them not to attend the first week of this semester and that many will start attending on the 23rd. This also happened to last year's 12th graders and many of them didn't attend.
I personally think that these, whom started the chain message, are lazy and have nothing better to do. And all who follow are the same.

I think two weeks are more than enough. Think of it this way; the sooner we start, the sooner we finish.

Once you start the 2nd semester, it will just end in ... NO TIME! you won't even notice it. the 2nd semester is shorter than the 1st one!

in the first weeks of the 2nd semester you won't feel like studying because you'll still not fully be recovered from all the hard time you spent studying in the 1st semester. you'll laze around for a couple of weeks, and suddenly find out that the semester has ended :S ...

you'll be getting a lot of rumors that the results will be out either tomorrow or next week, lol. you'll be getting these rumors every single day, everytime with a different day for the results. and in the end, the results will SUDDENLY be out after 12AM. your friends will wake u up between 3AM - 5AM to tell u the results are out and tadaaaaaa... u'll be checking ur results, lol.

anyways, again best of luck. hope u get good grades.

As a matter of fact "YES", I do miss it. No matter how strange it might sound to you now, I really miss school days. And the last year of High School was probably the best of it all. By that time we were smart enough to study just as little as possible in order to get a good grades, and we were also wise and knowledgeable enough to be able to do all the fun stuff (playing cards during included)without being couth. This was the time when we were old enough to be able to do what we wanted (or at least most of it) and at the same time not to have to worry about the problems of the grown ups ( as we were considered still students). Believe me....once you start working you'll understand what I mean.

As for the circulated sms, I agree with you. I is probably started by somebody who is lazy, irresponsible and trying to get away with one more week holidays. I am glad there are still people with your way of thinking. It is nice to know that I'm not the only one who things that way. I would like to know what other people think on the same topic.

nick, wow! you make school sound really nice. I am at scshool right now and I feel cheated :p
No, but we really do have fun but it's the school that holds us back, you know.
Forget fun, I have tons of other projects for the website and so that I can't do because of school.

But I understand what you are saying about school being a great time. But I believe that a great time could be anytime depending on the person.

Thnx for the comment :)
